Scanning electron microscopes (SEM) analyses are performed at the ALS laboratory in Danderyd, Sweden. Currently our instrumental park holds two instruments: S3400N and SU3500
- Both SEM- microscopes are fitted with SE-detector for high vacuum and SE-detector for low vacuum (used for samples sensitive to vacuum, i.e. biological samples and wood)
- BSE Detector used to differentiate between particles with mostly light or heavy elements.
- EDX detector Silicon Drift detector (SDD Apollo and Octane) coupled with EDAX Genesis and EDAX Team
