European consumer organizations have given attention to the fact that mycotoxins are frequent in some types of food. Tomato ketchup has recently been tested by a Czech consumer organization, and all 22 tested products contained detectable amounts of mycotoxins. Several products also contained pesticide remains. The Swedish testing company Testfakta analyzed fruit cereals with respect to, i.a., aflatoxin and ochratoxin. Four of the products contained low, but quantifiable levels of one or both of these mycotoxins.
ALS Scandinavia analyses mycotoxins down to the lower detection limits applied for baby food.
